Gabi Curbelo
Licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist
Gabi is a California-licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and Chinese herbalist, as well as a nationally-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM Dipl. O.M.). She graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Science in East-Asian Medicine from Berkeley’s Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC). She holds a Bachelor degree in Latin American Economic Development from Middlebury College.
Gabi has extensive training and experience in therapeutic facial acupuncture, a holistic approach to address concerns on the skin’s surface while resolving internal disharmonies. She is highly skilled in treating various facial concerns such as rosacea, acne, trigeminal neuralgia, and jaw tension/TMJ. She believes that looking in the mirror and feeling connected to the person you see is fundamental to thriving.
She is an avid soccer player, enjoys lifting weights, and previously taught pilates and yoga. As a former professional soccer player for the Puerto Rican National Team, she knows and celebrates the body’s strength and resilience. She studies closely with Dr. Jenny Nieters (acupuncturist for the SF 49ers) and Whitfield Reaves. She has taught high school Spanish and continues to enjoy working with adolescents. She thrives at helping to relieve joint pain, optimize recovery from sports injuries, and relax tight and achey muscles.
When she is not in the clinic, Gabi can be found at a playground with her two little kiddos, playing on the soccer field, and searching for the best scone and decaf latte around.
